Product Description

GL Q420 Resin is a kind of polyaspartic polyurea resin with low viscosity. The unique asparagus cochinchinensis ammonia acid ester structure endows the product with excellent performance such as weather resistance,good luster, water resistance and anti-corrosion. It is especially formulated to prepare two-component polyurethane/ polyurea coatings with high solid content, acrylic coating, potting material etc. The faster response time, better hardness and tensile strength provide the products with special application demands. This product could be used separately or mixed with acrylic resin with hydroxyl and then crosslink with other aliphatics isocyanate to produce polyurethane/polyurea coatings with high solid content, elastic paint or other protective coatings.

GL Q420 Resin could also be mixed with other resins with amino, such as the same series products GL Q620, GL Q520 and GL Q220 of the company, thus to obtain more flexible activation period and drying time and to meet different hardness demands while preparing polyurea finish paint with high solid content and acrylic coating.

Typical purposes

Wood ware polyurea primer: the latest polyurea primer made from the resin together with improved MDI/TDI curing agent, and non-yellowing isocyanate curing agent. The curing speed of this product is equivalent to PE primer. It is not necessary to pre-spray wash coat. Compared to existing PU primer, it has faster curing speed, which greatly improves construction efficiency. The performance of this product is better than PU and PE primer.

High performance PU (polyurea) acrylic coating. It is different from the existing PU (polyurethane) acrylic coating. PU acrylic coating which mainly consists of GL Q420 and GL Q520 presents performance better than PU (polyurethane) acrylic coating. Its performance could not be reached by epoxy resin acrylic coating.

High impact resistance and wear resistance varnish for mobile phones and notebooks. The outstanding impact resistance and wear resistance, flexibly adjusting softness and hardness requirement as well as response time make it more suitable than UV coating for application in such fields.

Coating polyurea. The traditional SPUA spray polyurea fails to meet the requirements on many aspects such as adhesive force, due to the over fast response time, or even requires for pre-coating treatment. By adding such resin, it is able to flexibly adjust the response time, to increase adhesive force, and to improve the coating film performance.

Wind blade coating. It replaces the traditional two-component polyurethane coatings to prepare thinly coated impeller paint, which not only reduces the impeller weight, but also saves cost. Meanwhile, its performance could be improved greatly. If used together with 4F fluoropolymer resin we distribute, it will generate the third generation impeller coating with more better performance.

Storage and Package

Packages of 20kg and 200kg are available. The resin shall be stored in sealed vessels. Keep away from moisture and store in ventilated and dry environment with ambient temperature of 0℃-40℃,the shelf life of the product is 360 days since production date.
